ICE Birmingham 2018 Events Schedule

SATURDAY TIME TABLE

The Exclusive Events at ICE are Free to all ticket holders and aimed at fans. You can enjoy panels, star interviews and art demos all day long.

11.00 – 12.00 – The Geek Syndicate Live Chat Show – Part 1 – This year we kick off proceedings with a 1 hour extravaganza hosted by Barry and Dave from the famous Geek Syndicate Podcast. Guests Interviewed will be Rodney Ramos, Staz Johnson and Phil Winslade

12.00 – 13.00A Cup of Tea with John Wagner and Dan Cornwell.

Join host Leonard Sultana as he broadcasts live talking to the legendary co creator of everybody’s favourite totalitarian law-man and his art partner on his new series Dan Cornwell in what is sure to be a highlight of the day.

13.00 – 14.00  And we stick with Leonard Sultana for what promises to be another major highlight of the day as he interviews the incredible talented Ryan Brown as he delves into the secrets behind his stunning digital paintings

This illustrated event will features some of Ryan’s most iconic work and knowing the artist the way we do is guaranteed to be an entertaining yet educational experience.

14.00 – 15.00 – The Beano at 80 – With special guests Lew Stringer, Nigel Parkinson, Hunt Emerson and Laura Howell  – We join the celebrations of this monumental anniversary and talk to some of the legendary comic’s most famous and prolific cartoonists about their experiences working on popular strips and characters like Dennis the Menace, Little Plum and and Pup Parade – Hosted by the Geeky Brummie Radio Team of Ryan Parish and Kieth Broomfield

15.00 – 16.00 – The Geek Syndicate Live Chat Show – Part 2 – featuring interviews with Ian Edginton and John Davis Hunt

16.00 – 17.15 – The ICE 2018 Charity Auction – David Montieth is your auctioneer as the fun begins again for the final event of the day.

A chance to support our charity Beanstalk and to get your mitts on some amazing items kindly donated by our guests and exhibitors.

THE SATURDAY NIGHT AFTER PARTY AT CHERRY REDS

Finish off your convention in style with a VIP ticket upgrade for only £35, which gains you entry to our Saturday Night VIP After Party at Cherry Reds, just around the corner from the show venue.

Rub shoulders with our guests and meet the staff in a fun informal setting at one the city’s coolest cafe bars.

Your VIP ticket also gains you priority entry to the show itself at 10am on Saturday an hour before the doors open to the public.


COMICS UNCOVERED SATURDAY AND SATURDAY TIME TABLE

For those of you who are interested in making a living from creating your own comics, or just want to improve your skills for self publishing check out the extra events available over the weekend via Comics Uncovered – also at the BCEC.

These are charged extra and cost either £5 per event, or you can purchase full single day and weekend delegate tickets which include all of the events and also the opportunity to have your work individually reviewed by top editors from DC Comics, Dark Horse Comics and local publisher Time Bomb Comics.

There is also a Sunday night Networking party at Cherry reds at 7.30pm exclusively for Comics Uncovered delegates and Guests.
